Organizations explained
Everything on VetEval belongs to an organization rather than to a person, and why that matters when somebody leaves.
An organization is your company on VetEval. It owns the models you submit, the runs you start, the results you publish and the billing arrangement. People are members of it, with a role each.
Nothing belongs to a person. When somebody leaves the company, their access ends and everything they submitted stays exactly where it is, still attributed to the organization. That is the point of the arrangement: a model card should not disappear because an engineer changed jobs.
How you get one
- A colleague invites you. Accepting the invitation adds you to theirs, with the role they chose. This is the common case.
- You create one. If nobody has invited you, you are asked to create an organization the first time you sign in, named after your company.
One per company
When you create an organization, the domain of your work address is claimed by it. Somebody else at the same domain is then told to ask you for an invitation rather than starting a second, separate tenant with half your models in it.
Belonging to several
You can be in more than one, which is normal for a consultancy submitting on behalf of two vendors. Everywhere a choice matters, you are asked which organization you are acting for. Where there is only one, you are not asked, because a step whose only option is the obvious one teaches people to click through without reading.
