How do I actually delete our data?

Ask us using Contact us at the bottom of any page. Erasure requests are handled by a person, because published results and financial records have different legal retention answers and a button cannot make that judgement.

Does deactivating stop the billing?

It stops new purchases. An active subscription is a separate arrangement, so cancel or change it from the billing page as well. See [changing your plan](/docs/changing-your-plan).

Can staff deactivate my organization?

Staff can suspend one, which is a different state and is used for abuse or non-payment. You will be told why, and the message will say how to reach us.

Leaving and deactivating

How to leave an organization, and how an owner switches one off without losing anything.

Nothing on VetEval is ever deleted. Leaving, removing somebody and switching an organization off all mark a record rather than destroying one, which is what lets any of them be undone.

Leaving an organization

Anybody can leave their own organization from your team page, in any role including viewer. You lose access to its models, runs and results immediately, and an owner or admin can invite you back.

Deactivating an organization

There is no Delete Organization on VetEval, and there is not going to be. What an owner can do is deactivate it, from the same team page.

Published results in particular are not withdrawn. Other people cite them, and a benchmark that retracts numbers when a vendor closes an account is not measuring anything.

Turning it back on

An owner presses Reactivate on the same page. Everything is as it was left, including your remaining allowance.
