Can I write the card before the run finishes?

Yes. It is attached to the model, not to a run, and it survives every later run of the same model.

Links are checked to be reachable and to be what they claim. A shortener or a redirect chain is usually the reason. Use the destination directly.

Staff can edit it, and when they do the page says so. That exists for corrections of fact, not for rewriting your description.

The model card, in your own words. What it is for, what it was trained on, and any caveat a reader should know.
Links, to your documentation, your Hugging Face page, your paper or your product. Each is checked before it is published.
Your organization profile, which appears on every model you own.

The score, its confidence interval, and the category breakdown.
The verification tier, which says how the run was carried out.
The safety status.
Whether the result is published, if your account is on the Community plan and the result is awaiting review.
